Costa Rica: the Healing Powers of Thermal Springs

Discover Costa Rica´s largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs in Arenal’s largest and most beautiful private, rainforest reserve.

Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa offers a rainforest escape unlike any other.  The pursuit of a unique experience is wondrously satisfied at the moment you step into Tabacon, where you become a witness of the luscious scenery that unfolds before you.

Wellness seekers travel the globe to come to this luxury resort in Costa Rica to experience the magic of healing in the 17 thermal pools.

This is not your typical hotel spa. Your Memorable spa treatments are performed in outdoors bungalows tucked away among the trees, gardens and natural hot springs. The setting offers complete privacy, as the rainforest offers you perfect serenity.

In these cozy bungalows, you are sheltered by a palm thatched roof and caña brava, a local wild shrub similar to bamboo. The structure and floor are made of very special, local hardwoods. They are designed to allow the fresh air and scents of the rainforest become an essential part of each and every treatment. And even more significant are the spectacular sounds of the hot springs, blending perfectly with the ubiquitous sounds of wildlife.

Each treatment is preceded by the resort’s signature spa ritual, which includes a dip in the hot spring fed Hot Tub.  None of the pools are artificially heated, chemically treated, or recirculated. All spa bungalows have a thermal spring-fed tub for two that allow you to soak in river fed thermomineral water, al fresco, in the heart of the rainforest.

3 Night Stay from $1260 pp, based on shared Suite Accommodations
