I am so happy to have found this outlet for interacting with clients and fellow travelers in this online global arena. Blogging is new to me, but my company, LUX World Travel has focused on wellness travel for several years. My life and work bring great freedom, and with this, I have been blessed with meeting extraordinary people worldwide. Just a job perk I guess one could say!
The 2009-2010 travel season upon us, and the opportunity for finding value in a vacation and experiencing the best of the best is easy to come by. Just look at all the new resorts, wellness centers, yoga retreats, and global events…all designed for enhancing our lives one by one. So many speakers, events with a cause, extraordinary travel opportunities for women and families. Our world may I say, just keeps getting better and better.
In this blog, my goal is to focus on vacations or present such opportunities to travel which are off the beaten path, give the traveler a unique new experience in wellness or sense of self, and to promote a greater good we can all participate in.
Currently, LUX World is involved with many projects, and my current passion is a charity climb to Mt. Kilimanjaro, which will depart in February 2010. This vacation will raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society, and the new Hope Lodge Hospitality House being built in my home town of Rochester, NY. Another passion, during the month of October, any vacation booked, either wellness or mainstream, I will personally donate up to $25 per booked traveler to Breast Cancer Research.
